  • New card reader.

I had not bought a new card reader since the purchase of my D100 way back when I had my G3, mac… Needless to say, last month it finally took a crap on me… I can’t believe how fast this card reader tranfers data… the other one was an original Lexar cf card reader, firewire. The new one is a Delkin like 50 in 1, not really but you get the drift… This one is like 50X’s faster. I love it… Any ways Thats all… Downloading todays wedding and charging for tomorrows… PEACE

  • You DO get new cards themselves over the years, right?  I like to retire cards after a couple / few years of service, just to be on the safe side.  When you shoot over 100,000 images a year, you can never be too safe…

And with high-speed cards getting cheaper and cheaper, it’s something you almost can’t afford *not* to do!

    Take care,

I get new cards just never replaced the reader… I guess the old reader just got old and couldnt keep up with the new cards…

  • @broccardophoto - Yeap.  My newest reader is a few years old, and it’s pretty scuffed up etc. but it’s Firewire so it’s still nice and fast.  Them Delkin readers are super fast too.  And I’m curious to test the Delkin 350X UDMA cards…

    Take care,
